Latina Supremes
Sat 9/19, 2015 at 2:30 pm & Sun 9/20 at 7 pm I Source Theatre

We salute the DC Women’s Voices Festival with the remarkable, multi-faceted voice of Latina songwriters.  20 songs, 14 composers, 6 countries, come together for one fabulous journey in song: From the most recorded romantic bolero in history (Bésame Mucho by Mexico’s Consuelo Velásquez), to the universally shared Gracias a la vida (Chile’s Violeta Parra), and iconic favorites like What a Difference a Day Made, Dos Gardenias (Cuba), Que Sabes Tú (Puerto Rico),  Como la Cigarra (Argentina) and La Flor de la Canela (Perú). Written and directed by DC’s own Elizabeth Pringle, with stellar performers Mari Paz, Patricia Portillo, Diana Saez.
