The recent pausing of the majority of federal grants and loans impacts dozens of government agencies and millions of people across the world. One of these agencies, of course, is the National Endowment for the Arts, that provides critical direct support to arts projects around the country each year, but also passes funding through to state arts organizations and local funders like the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities and the Maryland State Arts Council. Combined, this funding amounts to almost 20% of IN Series' annual revenue.
It is important at all times, but especially at times like these, that our representatives in government understand the transformative impact of the arts and the value of the NEA. Your voice matters and you can make it be heard by reaching out to you Senator or Representative to express your fundamental belief in the value of the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
You can make a difference!
