Join the creators of this important and powerful new musical drama. Learn about the history of the Federal Theater Project, the first "living newspaper", Italy's attempt to colonize Ethiopia, the pan-African response to the crises, little know Black opera singer Mayme Richardson who dedicated her life and talent to the Ethiopian cause, and the Rastafari movement that grew out of these world events. Also, you can learn about the many music elements in this production - from Verdi to Spirituals, from African music to American jazz, global Anthems to the hauntingly original compositions of "honkey-tonk nun" composer Emahoy Tsegue.
This is our first ONLINE Director's Salon, allowing as much participation as possible.
